Wednesday Poetry: A Poem by Haidar al-Ghazali
Dressed up fancy / to go out and about, / you would find me looking elegant, / and ready to step out / if you saw me during the war.
This untitled poem was inadvertently left out of the Spring 2024 co-production by Majalla 28 and ArabLit Quarterly and will be added to future editions. The poems and essays by Gazan writers were translated from Arabic by a volunteer collective.
